Greg Norman: Still An A**hole

Good to see that the Shark is still a complete nob who doesn't get it. Despite getting gutted for millions from his first wife, ol' Greg is jumping back in with both feet with beau Chrissy Everett. Okay, let us know how that works out. I want to believe that America's tennis sweetheart from the 1970's and 80's is not a money grubbing vindictive bitch, but if she were, and Greg gets crushed again in divorce court - well, I'm gonna have to pop an ice cold Foster's Lager and drink to that my friends. Oh yeah, don't take photos of Greg's wedding either. He'll have you thrown in the Bahamian gulag. Nice job getting hitched at Paradise Island. That place has become the "Medieval Times" of beach resorts. I thought rich dudes like you went to crazy islands nobody has ever heard of, or maybe ones that you actually own! Paradise Island? Really? And you wanted privacy there?

The fact people still care about these two is amazing. Evert last played, what 20 years ago and Mr. Just As Many Majors As Andy North was last seen making one last grasp at a win at Augusta in 1999 before gagging to Jose Maria Olazabal.

I'll give him some credit though, his wines for the past few years have been ranked higher than his world golf ranking.

So get over yourself Shark. Maybe if you won more than two majors we'd give a rats ass.

Czabe, even for a bald guy you seem particularly jaded against women.

Maybe the Shark (aka the crab, great SNL skit about him constantly choking) got her to sign a prenup...

If not that would sort of be emblematic of how GN played golf...stupid and unplanned

Love the text to the show today, if Chris Evert divorces Norman and later marries a French soccer player (I can see it happening in three years), she will have the marriage version of the tennis grand slam.

What Would Irv Have Said?
Hi Steve: When Bob brought up the other day the things may have been different with Brett had Irv been around, I really got to thinking. Since Holmgren, and likely Wolf departed, and his dad died, Favre has had no one to really fear. Next up, Ray Rhodes and Mike Sherman, who let him run wild. Since he didn't have accountability, he could become more of a diva with no one to bring him down to earth. By the time Thompson and McCarthy came along and weren't willing to let Brett walk all over the team, he had been unaccountable for long enough that he couldn't handle it and resented it. Hurt feelings resulted from him having to answer to someone for a change, and from fewer special "Brett rules". I am very curious how he handles Mangini, whom I have been told by a Jets fan is hated by the players. And, wait till Mike Lupica shreds him by mid-October.
