In the loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night a few weeks ago, the Redskins ran the football 15 of 20 first downs.
You read that right: 15 of 20.
Even noobs in Madden aren’t that predictable or conservative in their playcalling. The Redskins lost a game they should have never even been in with that lousy Matt Cassell led team. Here’s a very telling little exchange at the end of this NFL Films “Sound FX” segment, where Kirk admits they had kept things simple for a while, so he could get more confident in the offense.
Note too, how the young McVay – a bright football mind, according to pretty much everyone – admits that he’s “still learning.” For those of us who follow this team deeply, this one piece of audio is worth almost a month of speculation. I’m lucky I caught it this morning.
Watch it, Skins fans, and keep it mind as we discuss this team going forward.

Darn you NFL! They won’t allow you to embed the video, but you can still watch it on YouTube.
