So now that we’ve seen a decent chunk of the NFL season, I think it’s safe to start “grouping” the league into sensible groups. Now, some people like to do a simple 1 through 32 “power ranking.” Nothing wrong with that. But I look at the league differently, once she has revealed certain patterns through the season.
There are “tiers” in my mind, and teams can climb up, and fall down from specific tiers, depending on how the looked 5 minutes ago. Because honestly, we all judge what we think in this kaleidescope league, on the very last thing that crossed our eyeballs.
Records don’t really matter to me. Head to head, doesn’t really matter to me. These are just groupings. And subject to change, which they will from week to week, from now until season’s end.
So sit back and get ready to fire off an angry email to me about how wrong I am about your favorite team.
6-0 PACKERS
6-0 BENGALS
5-2 CARDINALS
3-3 DOLPHINS
2-5 CHARGERS
3-4 COLTS
3-3 RAMS
1-6 RAVENS
TIER 9
“The despicables… these teams offend you the moment they take the field….”
2-5 NINERS
2-5 TEXANS
2-5 JAGS
1-5 TITANS
Yep. Except Sunday night. Ouch.
Well, Bronco Defense is better than we all thought. And … Packer Defense is just dreadful. Should have figured that out when the 2-6 Chargers lit them up in Green Bay.
For the Peyton Manning fans, don’t get too excited about the passing stats for this game, Rivers went for 503 on the road against this Pack “D”. But, it is a step forward for him.
I just realized…you jinxed us!!! That explains it! It’s got nothing to do with personnel, scheme, coaching, injuries, etc. It was YOU!!!!
Your mis-spelling of “Chiefs” reminds me of that Snickers commercial. “Who are the ‘Chefs’?”
