Here’s Why I’m Gonna Give Bubba Watson A Second Chance

For a while now, I have been firmly in the camp of: “Geezuz. WHAT A JERK this guy is! Can he not appreciate how lucky he is in life?” But after watching this 60 Minutes feature on him, I think I properly understand the whole picture. The guy is a genius, but a tortured one.

He’s probably “on the spectrum” of intellectual disorders, and he obviously battles it all the time. After all, what kind of guy lives by the motto of “Never trust ANYONE, ever?”

And yeah, the being a bitch to his caddy thing, is probably over-rated. A lot of tour pros are mega pricks to their bagman when the putts aren’t falling.

I can’t say I am going to be a huge Bubba FANBOY now, but I have a new appreciation for the flawed person he is, and take his attempts at being a better person as genuine.

Now, let’s just hope there’s not any ant hills at Augusta.

Here’s the most amazingly detailed analysis of what I believe, is the greatest shot in Masters history.

  1. Hey there Czabe,

I thought about you when I saw the 60 minutes piece. You dogged him pretty good if I remember correctly. I was thinking, Geez, seems to me those comments he made seem pretty mild in the overall scheme of sports stars pouting and arrogance on display. So props to you for having the stones (and compassion) to go public with your semi change of opinion. Carry on! I’m a big fan.
