Confess this may be conspiracy but I immediately thought this while watching the press conference a few years back:
During David Stern’s press conference held at the NBA finals (his last year), he said “you need to have a good succession plan”. He was overtly referring to Adam Silver. But I think he was also referring to Obama > Clinton succession. Just the way he said it….and I think he consulted with Obama…etc. This was during the push to get Health Care promoted by sports leagues…which interestingly didn’t happen.
