Bob and Brian Mexico 2016 – That’s A Wrap!

We left with a group of 191 (mostly) middle-aged couples looking to escape the god-forsaken Wisconsin winter for a week. To leave the kids and job behind, and just relax. We came back with 191, which I consider a huge success.

Because, well, stuff can happen in Mexico.

Let me start by saying emphatically: YES, this is group is fat, and old. But holy crap, do they know how to take advantage of an all-you-can-drink vacation package! There were very few 20 and 30-somethings (although they are certainly welcome). And yes, I too, am fat and old. The fat we’re gonna work on, the old is forever.

But I still think I’m 26.

Which, if you can believe it, is how I old was when I started doing a 30 minute “sports update” for the “Bob and Brian Show” in Milwaukee, WI. That’s 22 years of having fun with a couple of FM deejays who know just enough about sports to be dangerous.

Time is a bitch. And it just keeps moving faster and faster as you get older.

So for you young’uns out there looking at these photos, just be aware. THIS IS YOUR FUTURE. It cannot be escaped. And it’s hurtling at you at light speed. So make sure to enjoy your youth when you have it, and when you get to be our age, take a trip like this. And act a bit stupid. And apologize for none of it.

Thanks to Bob and Brian, and Fox World Travel for having me along on the junket. Third year in a row now, and it just keeps getting better and better.

The pressure is on for 2017!

  1. Thank you for your witty real life interpretation of sports and the everyday world as you see it. I appreciate your humor and analogies. Thank you for making me laugh at my dismal existence of a job, especially in the morning at the beginning of it. Keep on being real! Mma is my life and I like how u started touching on that now. Please keep up on that also. Thanks again!! Anticipatedly yours. Robb

  2. Wife and I vacationed there years ago. Sad to see the sand bags are still out there as they attempt to repair the beach. Those casitas are pretty awesome though, great rooms, great view, awesome food, can’t wait to go back!
