So the story goes something like this. Joey Batista flips his bat while hotdogging a huge HR in beating the Rangers last October. Rangers don’t like it. Sunday was the last regular season meeting between Toronto and Texas. The game was getting late. Joey Batista had perhaps his last reckoning at the dish.
Plunked batter. Hard slide. Benches empty. Rougned Odor punches the sunglasses off Joey Bats’ face.
And that’s HARDBALL, folks! A whole lot more interesting than a suicide squeeze or a double-switch. You may now thunder on about how this is bad for the game. Besides, it’s all part of Bryce Harper’s mission of “MBFA” – Make Baseball Fun Again!
